How to Edit Categories

Categories are useful for organizing your captures to make them easier to search and find. To create or edit your categories you would do the following:

You will want to fill in the information. In the next picture you will see some ideas of what to use. The idea here is to come up with a category name that helps describe the assets to be placed in this category. The category options further refine the assets in to specific types of things in the category. Fill in the information with things, perhaps, like this:

Having filled in the information for your category name and options you will want to click Save Changes. This will save the work you have just done and will create your new category.

Clicking near the top of the screen on the Aperture Platform title will bring you back out to the main gallery and you will now be able to see your new category just underneath the search bar.
